President Trump Welcomes Loved Ones of Shot Guard Members to the Presidential Residence

Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the White House.

He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Information on the Devastating Shooting

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a attack on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in serious condition.

Vigils across West Virginia have taken place in their remembrance.

White House Offer

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the state Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump told the press. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community Response

Attendees gathered over the past few days at a local school in the state to honor Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to aid public safety in Washington DC.

Remembering the Soldier

“She was the kind of student that instructors desired. She behaved with calm resilience, a bright grin and a positive energy that lifted those around her,” the principal, the head of her previous school, told the press. “She was caring, caring and always eager to support those in need.”

Funeral plans for Beckstrom are yet to be finalized.

Legal Actions and Government Changes

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while armed.

The incident caused the government to halt refugee claims and halt providing visas to owners of passports from Afghanistan.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, enlisted in 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, according to the AP.

He continues to receive treatment and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia governor the governor stated on television.

Attorney general Pam Bondi told the program that she planned to meet with his relatives.

Legacy of Sarah Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County high school in 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a military police officer with distinction, as stated by the state guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she absolutely had bravery,” he addressed the crowd at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
