Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
