Ex- Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors report that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
